We have absolutely loved watching Fountain Inn blossom over the last few years! We’ve only owned Burdette Hardware since 2018, but Connor is a fourth generation Main Street business owner and continuing his family legacy here in Fountain Inn is so important to us.
We are asked all the time why we chose to close our larger location in Simpsonville and the answer is always the same: Fountain Inn is home. We live here, play here, and worship here. There’s no other place where we’d rather work!
By being downtown, we’re able to participate in City activities and events, support local schools, and sponsor sports teams. When you shop with us, you’re equipping us to give back to the community we love so much. So thank YOU for shopping small and supporting local businesses!
Working on your next project? From power tools to nuts and bolts to premium paints, we’re your one-stop shop for home improvement. Not really a "fixer"? Check out our lawn and garden aisle, bird and pet supplies, cleaning products, hunting gear, automotive selection, and more. We're always adding more, so be sure to browse each of our departments to see all that we have in store.
Can't find exactly what you're looking for? We'll be happy to special order for you!
Quality customer service is what makes an independently owned store different from a "big box" store. Our customers trust us with all of their service needs including paint matching, key cutting, and propane refills. With over 100 years of experience, our staff will get it right the first time.
B.W. Burdette opened his bicycle shop in 1899 in Simpsonville, SC. Over the years the shop evolved into dry goods and, later, hardware. The historic downtown Curtis St. location was built in 1926 and still stands today as Burdette Central. Brothers Alan and Art McCraw purchased the business from Burdette’s descendants in 1986. After over 30 years of growth and service, and expanding into Fountain Inn, the brothers sold their business to Alan’s son, Connor, and his wife, Dusti, in November 2018. Connor and Dusti are proud to be continuing the legacy of the Burdette and McCraw families as they serve the Upstate with all of their hardware and industrial supply needs.
